I think sexiness in most people-and this is going to sound superficial-is definitely something you don't plan. I don't necessarily think I'm...whatever. I found out about this show about 3 weeks ago. The show came on HBO immediately after a movie and I was hooked. It's the summer so usually I have absolutely nothing to do the next day, & every week I find myself up until 4 AM watching this show on demand.

Their creativity expressed in their films & on the show is very impressive (ex. the B.I.G. lyrics written in white out on their "money green leather sofa", and their choice to take Polaroids of everyone who has visited their humble abode.) Described as a "homemade home video television show" the show touches on the brothers' personal lives and their interesting experiences.

I think I love this show so much because they have the life that I want: living in a creative space in NY, surrounded by creative and intriguing people, and doing things on my own terms.

Everything started off pretty well. Everyone was in good spirits, Hanson came out & rehearsed a song & a 1/2, a man rumored to be J. Cole came out, Ninjasonik KILLED his "set", and everyone was patiently waiting for Drake.

We arrived at about 5 o' clock but around 7 people were getting restless. I saw a record-breaking 10 fights, 1 table thrown, 1 girl laid out on concrete, about 10 cop cars, and I heard 2 men threaten to shoot. Oh, and I was hit in the chest with a plastic bottle.

Okay whoever said it was a riot was exaggerating but it CERTAINLY was pretty damn near it. I saw MTV & FOX news attempting to get interviews of victims...it was pretty heavy. Even though we didn't even get a GLIMPSE of DRAKE & I almost got beat up by some hood girl from BROOKLYN named Shakiylah this was definitely for the books.

1. Hipster- noun

Listens to bands that you have never heard of. Has hairstyle that can only be described as "complicated." (Most likely achieved by a minimum of one week not washing it.) Probably tattooed. Maybe gay. Definitely cooler than you. Reads Black Book, Nylon, and the Styles section of the New York Times. Drinks Pabst Blue Ribbon. Often complains. Always denies being a hipster. Hates the word. Probably living off parents money - and spends a great deal of it to look like they don't have any. Has friends and/or self cut hair. Dyes it frequently (black, white-blonde, etc. and until scalp bleeds). Has a closet full of clothing but usually wears same three things OVER AND OVER (most likely very tight black pants, scarf, and ironic tee-shirt). Chips off nail polish artfully after $50 manicure. Sleeps with everyone and talks about it at great volume in crowded coffee shops. Addicted to coffee, cigarettes (Parliaments, Kamel Reds, Lucky Strikes, etc.), and possibly cocaine. Claims to be in a band. Rehearsals consist of choosing outfits for next show and drinking PBR. Always on the list. Majors or majored in art, writing, or queer studies. Name-drops. May go by "Penny Lane," "Eleanor Rigby," etc. when drunk. On PBR. Which is usually.

2. Someone who thinks that they are being "special" and "unique" for liking some underground bullshit no one else cares about. And they pointlessly look down on people who don't know anything about indie culture, because that's the only thing they know anything about. They're quick to call the rest of the world conformists when in reality, they are the ones conforming by partaking in a "too cool for mainstream so i am going to reject it by looking and acting like a grungy asshole" way of life only to seem uber-fashionable. They just end up looking like idiots.

1) Hipster: I won't drink at starbucks, it's too corporate.

2)Non-Hipster: I want a Louis Vitton purse because they are cool

Hipster: You're such a conformist, haveing a Louis Vitton purse is so unoriginal. I like my purse I found in the gutter for $4 dollars.

Non-hipster: but it's fugly

Hipster: yah, but no one else has it. It's completely unique.

Non-hipster: that bum over there has something pretty similar though.

Hipster: You're ignorant because you can't see the real beauty in life.
I don't have time for this, I'm gonna go to my cave of an apartment and listen to some indie rock you've probably never heard of....

So today i rode the (F) train into Manhattan. It was pretty much a boring trip until finally the emergency door opened and the show started!!

Meet ATTENNA MAN. His story was kinda CRAZE. Before he played his SAX he briefly told his story. His Spaceship crashed and he needs earth currency to pay for parts. (didnt buy it) He also added if you want me to stop playing start paying! Not a bright way to start an un- announced show)I Hope he was playing BAD on purpose or it was apart of the gimmick. He earned 1$. (peep his tranny manager in the back)

NEXT UP: Two announced players walked up and down the aisle singing. It happened so fast i could barely connect. They didnt have a story or anything they just sung. lol. They got 0$ for the effort. WOMP

"here is a photo of me and one of the greatest friends i’ve ever had – LA’KEA WHITE. we lived down the block from each other in downtown Albany and she had attended my middle school, but was now in 9th grade at the time of this photo at Bishop Magin High School (my friends were always older than me). i remember that year…

it was the same year that i decided to stop wearing my CHARLOTTE HORNETS STARTER jacket and trade in my REEBOK classics for some PUMAS, a skateboard and a gas station attendant jacket with the name “RALPH” embroidered on the left side. i found it at SALVATION ARMY.

this only added fuel to the fire for the 4 MEAN GIRLS in my class to further harass me. leaving me threatening notes and mumbling comments like “she thank she cute”[Oh I definitely got that one before]. actually, i didn’t…i had a unibrow, a face like a chipmunk and disliked my new “womanly” body (puberty is weird for any kid, but even more awkward for girls).

by the time 8th grade rolled around, i was the only misfit in my school. LA’KEA now in 10th grade, stuck by my side. when people asked her “why she trying to be white”, LA’KEA always defended me. when the girls at school became a nuisance, KEA made an unannounced visit with a slew of her homegirls from her sophomore class to put a little fear in their lives…and it worked.

I honestly can say this is one of my favorite shows of all time! Speaking from a high school student it's not really that realistic but GODDAMN this show is hilarious!
